Los Angeles, California — The Los Angeles Police Department provided more information about an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the Olympic Division, in the city of Los Angeles on March 23, 2021, at around 2:20 p.m.. An officer assigned to Olympic Division Patrol, was assisting a community member outside of the front doors of Olympic Station located in the 1100 block of south Vermont Avenue. Once the officer finished, he saw the suspect standing near the front doors of the station with a gun in his hand. The help call was broadcast and additional officers responded to the station. That suspect was later identified as 35-year-old Nakiea Brown.

Police officers in Indiana mistakenly took an actor on a movie set for a real robbery suspect. Indiana State Police were called to the Back Step Brewing Company in Crawfordsville on Tuesday evening for a possible robbery in progress call after someone called 911 to report seeing a masked man with a gun enter the back of the building. When officers arrived from the Crawfordsville Police Department, they saw a masked man coming out of the door at the eatery with what appeared to be a gun and ordered him to drop it. Officers fired at the man, later identified as Jeff Duff, striking the building nearby and not hitting him. Duff then dropped the gun and took off his mask before telling officers that he was filming for a movie. 'The bullet went by his head. It was very close,' Phillip Demoret, an actor said. The Doña Ana Sheriff’s Office received three calls about a juvenile recklessly driving an SUV in the Las Alturas area of New Mexico. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle to no avail and a pursuit occurred through residential areas. The juvenile stopped in a parking lot, picked up three passengers ranging in age from 12-15. At one point during the chase, the vehicle stopped and the three boys exited the vehicle and the driver continued back through the motel parking lot then across the K-Mart parking lot. The chase eventually came to an end when the stolen SUV headed down a road in the wrong direction, colliding head-on with another vehicle.
